{"id":289,"date":"2009-01-07T12:58:06","date_gmt":"2009-01-07T12:58:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cg-blog.com\/?p=289"},"modified":"2013-04-15T09:24:40","modified_gmt":"2013-04-15T09:24:40","slug":"table-smooth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cg-blog.com\/index.php\/2009\/01\/07\/table-smooth.htm","title":{"rendered":"Table&#8217;s Smooth: improve your awarness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(<strong>Warning<\/strong>: the following post&#8217;s related to 3ds Max, but is applicable to any software provides <strong>polygonal modeling<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.grafica3dblog.it\/immagini\/tabellina-smooth.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.grafica3dblog.it\/immagini\/tabellina-smooth-icona.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Among the\u00c2\u00a03ds Max\u00c2\u00a0modifiers, there is one &#8211; EDIT POLY &#8211; that rather than a lot of parameters, in fact there&#8217;s a &#8220;world&#8221; behind: the world of the <strong>polygonal modeling<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Polygonal modeling<\/strong> (nurms)\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0is an approach for modeling objects by representing or approximating their\u00c2\u00a0surfaces\u00c2\u00a0using\u00c2\u00a0polygons and 3ds Max\u00c2\u00a0especially \u00c2\u00a0works in this way.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most important things is to assimilate the &#8220;combination&#8221; of 3d low poly models with modifiers like MeshSmooth or TurboSmooth in order to get smoothed objects.<\/p>\n<p>The typical application is: <strong>Primitive Geometry + Edit Poly + Meshsmooth (or TurboSmooth)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But the most important thing is to understand <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&lt;&lt; What polygonal mesh I need to get the 3d model I want?&gt;&gt;<\/span><\/strong>. (Is supposed: &#8220;using meshsmooth modifier&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>My last sentence is crucial, so you I recommend you to read it again carefully: it is the focus of polygonal modeling.
